Jackson's 2nd year

I have put together some of my favourite clips from the last year, in which Jackson went from a crawling baby to a crazy, walking & talking (babbling more like) big brother. I am so proud of him and love him to bits. Happy Birthday my gorgeous baby boy!!!!

Enjoy...

What My Kids Wore #2

We had a family party to go to at the weekend, and I will use any excuse to dress Jackson up. He wore this white shirt from M&S, which he got for his last birthday, along with these leggings by 'Leshy Lamb', a UK based company. My sister bought them for my birthday with a matching pair for me!!!!

It was also the first time that we got to put Florrie in a proper outfit, as so far she's just been in babygrows. I bought this dress and top from Next - I love the 'Peter Pan Collar' and the colour of the dress. I picked up the tights from Primark for a bargain too. The outfit was all a bit too big for her but she did look mega cute!!!!

What my Kids Wore #1

As I have previously mentioned, I love babies and toddlers in dungarees and one of my favourite places to go for them is Next.

I recently picked up this gorgeous jogger one from Next - I love the hoodie style and the fact it has a zip. I have also paired it with this doggy-print body suit from H&M.

Also, for the first of many editions, I now have my baby girl to dress!!!!! At the moment, she has just been in babygrows, which makes life a lot easier and means she's the most comfortable. We have been given so many lovely babygrows from our friends and family and I have loved them all. This one is from Next, and it is one of my favourites. It's such a beautiful and elegant print.

What Jackson Wore #8

Here is the first 'What Jackson Wore' of 2017, however, this time we have an older outfit, which some of you may have seen in my other blogs or vlogs but I just love it!

Not surprisingly it's a full Zara outfit - the trousers I bought before Jackson was even 1. He was in 18-24months back then, as his belly was so big but since he has learnt to walk, he has lost some of his belly and a lot of his clothes still fit him now! The trousers look white in the picture but they are grey with blue letters all over them.
The top is another Zara number but this was purchased in September - it's just one from their basic range.

Took a while to get a picture this time as he was in a really cheeky mood!

And of course, a bum pose!

He looks drunk in this photo but he was just sliding down the stairs!

Being a Stay at Home, Working Mum

When my Maternity Leave came to an end with Jackson, the thought of going back to work and being away from my little baby was so difficult. I know that I am not alone with this but I ended up being one of the lucky ones who could do something which meant that I didn't have to leave him - I decided to become a Childminder. I didn't really do it to make loads of money or grow a business, all I wanted was to make 'X' amount of money to help with our income and be with Jackson at the same time.

For most of the time, I would just have one other child, which meant that I could still give them both the right amount of attention and I could still head out to do all the activities that both Jackson and I love, by getting a double buggy to transport them both. Has it been difficult at times? Of course it has - anyone who has a toddler of their own knows it has it's testing moments but, wow, have I had some pretty amazing times too. For instance, watching Jackson's relationships grow with the other children I have looked after - with some of the regular children, they have formed more of a sibling-like relationship, which has been absolutely lovely to see.

I have really enjoyed being a Childminder and have been incredibly lucky with the particular children I have looked after, and their families, which I know has made the experience so much easier. I am now on Maternity Leave waiting for baby #2 to make their appearance. I wonder if Jackson is hoping for a little brother or a little sister?!

However, after this period of Maternity, I am not sure what I am going to do. This is all very premature, I know, as I haven't even given birth yet and I expect that my feelings will all change after little Beebee is here. However, I feel that after nearly 2 years (3 years once my Maternity Leave is over) I will want to do something for myself, whether it be a new Career path or not. At this moment in time, I am not sure but, of course, I will want it to fit around my babies. I have started putting my thinking cap on already and I am trying to work towards a few goals, although I am also trying not to put too much pressure on myself right now, as this will be such a precious time when they are so little, which is time you don't get back once it has passed. I think we all look for that perfect job that gives the perfect balance BUT does it really exist!? It's such a big decision for me to make, one I hope will become clearer in the near future.

Any suggestions on that perfect job, please feel free to send them my way!!!

Last years Christmas Day!!

Here are some of my favourite photo's from last year's Christmas Day! Enjoy...

His mountain of presents (they weren't all for Jackson, ours were in the pile as well by the way!).

We loved his personalised stocking from his Thea (Aunty).

Opening all of his presents - the Trike was the best one.

We spent Christmas at my mums with Chris' family joining us as well.

Jackson pretty much ate the same amount as us adults!!!!

Trying out his new toys!

Jackson and Mama photo.

More toys!!!!

This is from Boxing Day but we forgot to get a family one on Christmas day!

We are so looking forward to the big day tomorrow! Eeeek!

What Jackson Wore #7

This will be the last Christmassy 'What Jackson Wore' for this year!!!! So, because of that, I thought that I would include two outfits, both have been worn loads this month.

The jumper on this outfit was from Primark, which his Yaya kindly bought for him. The trousers are from John Lewis.

He always has something in his hands and this week, it's a sock. Why not?!

Love his grin in this picture!!

This second outfit includes a top that I bought for one of his advent presents. This cute top is from H&M it was very inexpensive as well! The jeans are from next, I think that they have been featured before, but they are jogger style so lets him run about still.

He was just eating one (or maybe 2) chocolate coins.

You can see that he enjoyed them!

What Jackson Wore #6

This week, we have another Christmassy edition of 'What Jackson Wore'. I bought this jumper in the John Lewis sale last year, it was actually on my toddler jumper blog from last year too (if you want to check out my favourite toddler Christmas jumpers from this year, click here!).

I just love this jumper as it is such a lovely shade of blue and it really suits Jackson. I teamed it with some H&M jogger jeans and, of course, some Reindeer socks.
Jumper: John Lewis
Jeans: H&M
Socks:H&M

Jackson got this HappyLand fireman in his advent today, so he features in all the pictures too, haha!

Yes, again, that is dribble down his jumper - will this toddler ever stop dribbling?!?
