Favourite Snaps from our Holiday

I was just looking over my photo's from our recent holiday - only been back 2 days and already missing the sun, sea and the pool. We do, however, have some sun at home this week, which is a massive plus (must have brought it back with us)!!!!

Here, I have shared some of my favourite photos:

Little J's first dip of the holiday; look at that grin!

Enjoying Gigi's swing.

Gigi taking him to the park (he's wearing arm bands because it's right next to the pool by the way!).

Close up of his happy face!

His present from his great Uncle and Aunty. He loved it!!!!

Having some yogurt on his Yaya's lap.

All the eating got a bit too much for him!

Look at that face!!!

Life guard Jackson!

My Family.

The 3 of us together on our last night.

Let me know which is your favourite photo.

What I packed for little J

After Monday's Blog, I thought that I would show you all what I have packed for our holiday.
I do say in the video that I may be already in Greece, however, I am leaving very early tomorrow morning!! I am so looking forward to the holiday but not so much the 5am wake up, but somehow getting up for a holiday is always so much easier!

I have always been an over-packer, but let me know if you think that I have forgotten anything!

Little J's packing list for holiday

We have Jackson's 4th holiday coming up next week, his 3rd time aboard. I am starting to feel more relaxed about travelling with him now, maybe because he's older or it might be because I have done it a few times before.

Some of the first bits that I will be taking, which will not be put in the suitcase, are:
  • Buggy
  • Trunki (full of his toys - I will do a separate blog on this once I have packed it)
  • Changing bag
As for his suitcase, we will be packing:
  • 8 outfits - we are going for 9 days but of course he will be wearing one outfit on the way there. We will be able to wash clothes whilst away if needed but I will be on holiday too so really don't want to be doing chores!!!
  • UV swim wear including a hat
  • Swimming shorts
  • Swimming nappies
  • Arm bands
  • Pack of vests - We will be chilling around the pool or by the beach most of the days, so I will have vests to put on him when he's not in his swim wear, as I am sure it will be very hot. They also might be good for PJ's.
  • Jelly shoes
  • Sandals
  • Nappies - I'll take about 10 and then pick some more up when we get there
  • Sun hat
  • Sunglasses - Lets be honest, these are not essential, nor will he wear them for long but they make cracking photos!!
  • Mosquito net - this can be used for the buggy and the travel cot
For feeding time, he will just use tea spoons and the same plates and bowls that we use, so we will only be taking:
  • Bibs
  • Water bottle
  • Milk beaker
Toiletries:
  • Shampoo
  • Body Wash
  • Moisturiser Cream
  • Suncream
I will be doing a separate blog on little J's Trunki and changing bag, so keep a look out for them!

Let me know if you think that I have forgotten anything!

Throw back Thursday

I asked Chris' parents to send over some photos of him when he was 14/15 months (the same age as J is now). I love looking at photos and comparing them to Jackson.
Turns out he was a pretty cute baby too!

Jackson has the same hair, straight on top with the curls at the back and around the sides.

This one makes me really excited about our holiday in a few weeks time!!

The concentration on his face - funny how he still looks like this now, hehe!

Chris' first time out at sea, quite the explorer!

This is a classic 90's outfit!

Do you think that Chris and Jackson look alike?

15 month update

At the beginning of his 15th month, we were guests at a wedding where Jackson was their little Pageboy. He was so cute and so well behaved during the day.

We also celebrated Father's Day, for which we went out for an early dinner so we could all eat together. Jackson had ice cream and afterwards we experienced his first sugar rush! He was crazy as he ran around the house screaming and shouting excitedly, until he finally went to bed an hour and 1/2 late!!

Milestones

Recently, it feels like every time I look at Jackson he seems to be growing up. This is mainly down to the little developments, such as the way he sits on the sofa to eat his snacks or how he walks over to me just to give me a cuddle. In regards to the big milestones, they seem to have slowed down a bit.

Again, we have had another tooth through! 5 more to go!!! He's been teething the last few days so I am sure the next will be coming through soon.

His hands are still in the air when he walks, which is so cute as he looks like a little monkey. He's got so confident and has so much more control when walking now.

His new word this month is 'more' especially when he's eating - he's such a little piglet!

Routine

His day to day routine is as follows:

7:00/7:30am - wake up and has 5oz of milk in a beaker
8:00am – breakfast
12:00pm – lunch
1:00 – nap for 1 to 2 hours
3:00pm – snack
5:00pm – dinner
6:00pm - bath
6:30pm - bottle 7oz
7:00pm - down for bed

Clothes and Weight

He is still wearing a real mixture of 12-18 month and 18-24 month clothes.

Breakfast Ideas

I felt that little J's breakfasts were getting very repetitive and he wasn't eating as well as he used to, so I thought I'd mix it up a bit and share some of the new things that I have given him and, most importantly, what he thought of them!

Monday

Alphabites and banana.
These are from the brand 'Bear' and have no added ingredients. I don't think Jacks will ever get bored of banana's, in fact I think he has a bit of an addiction to them! He loves feeding himself the cereal too.

Tuesday

Weetabix and tinned peaches.
Weetabix is a safe favourite of little J's. However, the peaches were a new try and he found them very hard to pick up.

Wednesday

Banana pancakes and plums.
I have shared this recipe lots of times, it is just too yummy! Jackson thinks so too.

Thursday

Cereal bar and tangerine.
We were in a rush this morning, so I gave him a cereal bar - I thought it would go down very well but little J was not that impressed.

Friday

Crumpet with marmite and pear.
I had the same breakfast this morning, it was really good!

Saturday
Readybrek with raisins and blueberries.
Readybrek is a really good breakfast to disguise lots of different fruits that little J wont normally eat!

Sunday

Scrambled egg, mushrooms and baked beans.
This was little J's favourite breakfast this week. I have never seen him eat so fast! I did give him a spoon to use but that was just not quick enough for him, he went straight in with his hands instead!

Let me know if you have any good breakfast ideas.

Outfits of the week

I loved the last blog that I did like this. It's crazy, looking back at how different Jackson is from then to now. Last time, I would place him somewhere and try to make him smile but now, I have to try to make him stay still long enough just to take a photo (but at least the smiling's not a problem)!!
